Unfortunately, there hasn’t been any activity when I shared the petition on Twitter. I tweeted this site on my account so hopefully, it can be recognized a bit more.
The good news is, we have around 200 signatures on our petition as of now! Please share it with your friends and family 🙂
Interestingly enough, most of the views are on the home page. This means that our viewers haven’t actually been clicking on the blog posts. Most likely, this is due to the fact that you don’t have to click on the posts to read everything about it.
Some SEO methods I might utilize to get a better ranking for my blog in searches is formatting my blogs to make them stand out and be more appealing, and perhaps making an almost “click-bait” title would bring in some views. The idea of making a description for the images I use (caption) would allow search engines to look at those too, in addition to the content in my blogs.
Editing slugs for posts and commenting on similar blogs look like good ideas that my group could use to increase traffic because it would make search engines find the blogs easier and possibly draw in readers from similar blogs, as my comments would be publicizing my blog on other blogs.
Some offline methods I might use to promote my blog are talking to my friends and family about the situation, perhaps giving a short lecture on it to strangers. If I have time, I would talk to the manager of Central Park and inform them about my petition and why I believe it is important.
